佛教和基督教共通點Last Judgment - Getting Closer to God's Voice 1985

人們對佛教和聖經了解多少？接受信仰的同時，人們是全盤清楚，還是一知半解？是因為無助才接受信仰，還是因為認同這個信仰本身？自己的觀察是，很多基督教徒對於聖經並不是絕對熟悉，譬如你問牧師或傳教士為什麼壞事會發生在好人身上，他們往往無法直接回答你的問題，也說不出一個具體的答案。

佛教和基督教的共通點
善有善報，為惡都會被懲罰，只是一般基督徒往往很少提到God’s wrath 而是強調God’s forgiveness。兩者都勸善，善良就是王道，不需要討論。我相信上帝喜歡善良的人，而且好好地守住善良，上帝就會丟糖果。

 

佛教有天堂和地獄？
據錄聖嚴法師《正信的佛教》書裡的說法：「佛教毫不懷疑天堂與地獄的存在。因為天堂與地獄都在輪迴中 [….] 修了上品的五戒十善生天堂，修了十惡忤逆的大罪下地獄。 」
很多人對於基督教的impression應該就是告解和救贖。其實，基督教也有所謂的judgment day，也就是所謂的last judgment 最後的審判。基督教，即便是天使犯罪都會受到懲罰。但很多基督教徒很少會提到這一點。God’s anger, wrath and punishment for sin 更少被提到。

 

“For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but sent them to hell, putting them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment.” －2 Peter 2:4

天使犯錯也會受到懲罰

Does the tragedy happen because of the punishment for my sin from God? Does God punish Christians when they sin?

聽到太多的基督教都說耶穌會承擔我們的罪過，所以上帝會寬恕，所以犯錯不會被上帝懲罰。真相是撒旦一度是上帝最愛的天使。Fallen angels （墮落天使）就是被上帝逐出天堂的天使。

 

“If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.－Matthew 18:15-17 ESV 

可以饒恕和不能饒恕的罪：God’s discipline and God’s punishment

好人會有好報嗎？

我很相信一句話 「人為善，福雖未至，禍已遠離； 人為惡，禍雖未至，福已遠離。」我很相信多一點點善良，多很多福氣。

 

正直的上帝嫉惡如仇賞罰分明

上帝寬容，但對於大惡，祂嫉惡如仇. 對我來說，正確的教育也是恩威並施的。所以賞罰分明很重要。 關於God’s wrath 或God’s anger 都太少被討論了。如果上帝不是嫉惡如仇，又何來地獄，又何來所謂的選民說？

基督教”guardian angel”

我喜歡這個概念，我也願意相信。如果我們的身邊都有guardian angel不覺得很棒嗎？讀了一些相關的報導，很常見的一個說法是：如果你在不應該出現的地方看到羽毛，那是天使出現過留下的證據。我在看到那個影片前一兩天，我真的在門口的花圃門邊看到大片的羽毛。不知道有沒有十五公分那麼大，因為不尋常所以我有印象。雖然幾乎每天都可以看到麻雀，但不應該有那麼大片的羽毛。即便貓咪或狗狗也不可能。所以神經大條的我當時看到時留下深刻的印象。

 

誰能夠去天堂？

基於我聽到的基督教和佛教的說法，死後只有兩種去處：地獄或天堂（天國）。

 

“So, as those who have been chosen of God, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience”－Colossians 3:12-17

 

基本上，擁有這些特質，大概就是概括了善良需要具備的所有條件。

Q: 壞事為什麼會發生在好人身上？

第一，我們先要定義什麼是壞事？禍福相依，很可能沒有絕對的壞事！基督教的立場是：壞事，可能是懲罰，也可能是磨練你向上的機會（出自God’s discipline），或是為了給你更好的結果。

 

電影《亂世佳人》（Gone with the Wind）有這麼一句話：God doesn’t give you what you want, not because you don’t deserve it, but because you deserve better.

 

我最近從Andrew 那裡聽到的說法是：撒旦有它的力量，然後它會讓惡人得勝，好迷惑其他人。讓人類著迷於名利等等。如果是站在佛教的立場就是因果論，好像是前輩子或這輩子做壞事了才被懲罰…..

 

我始終相信God的存在，也經驗過科學無法解釋的miracle或blessing 。只是分享這件事太需要勇氣了，因為當你分享不尋常的事太容易太可能被質疑了。也可能我太自我太在乎隱私或太膽怯了，大概是看到太多人言可畏的前例日日經常地在日常中上演。

他奇蹟康復三周以後，再度喪失走路的能力，妻子最終選擇離婚，他一度絕望，卻因為四歲的孩子而決定好好活著，他沒有責怪上帝，最後，一日在教堂傳道的他又再度在眾人面前開始行走（至今）

 

佛教與基督教兩者之間，我自己還在摸索，還沒有定論。為什麼會這樣呢？因為我偏好地認為信仰可以是自己與老天爺或上帝之間的事，而宗教卻是人為的。聽過一個說法，佛經和聖經都是Buddha和耶穌死後才出現的。所以，既然執筆者不是神明本人，那麼，是否可能有遺漏或偏頗？？

 

備註：我對兩者（基督教與佛教）的理解畢竟還是相當有限，也不會是絕對正確的，甚至我的解讀也可能不對。所以歡迎了解的讀者留言修正或給予看法。
