3分鐘的時間，可以開啟某件事的興趣及熱情。下次在電梯或茶水間碰到同事，把握以下的小訣竅：

Compliments 讚美他人

 

先從「稱讚」別人開始，營造舒適及愉悅的對話氛圍，接著順著對方的回答進行下一步的交談。

 

A：I like your shirt! Where did you get it? 

我很喜歡你的襯衫，在哪買的？

 

B：I got this from SOGO last month.

我上個月在百貨公司買的。

 

A：Really? Can you tell me the name of store?

真的嗎？那你可以告訴我店名嗎？

與生活連結的話題也是萬年不敗的。如果你是被問的一方卻想繼續進行對話，可以提出Follow-up question，但切記要拿捏好問題分寸。

 

A：Do you have any fun plans for this weekend? 

這個周末有什麼有趣的計劃嗎？

 

B：I will go to amusement park with my daughter if the weather is good.

若天氣適合的話，我會帶女兒去兒童樂園。

 

A：Wow, sounds like fun. 

哇！聽起來真不錯。

 

B：Then how about you? Do you have any plans?

那你呢？你有什麼計畫嗎？

以重大的新聞時事開啟話題也是十分常見的方法，除了能提升彼此的共鳴外、也能透過新聞引出更多的話題，在無形中更認識一個人。

 

A：Did you hear about bushfires in Australia?

你有聽聞澳洲最近發生的野火危機嗎？

 

B：Yes. When I saw the news of animals trying to flee the fire, I was heartbroken.

有，當我看到新聞畫面裡的動物從火場逃離時，我的心都要碎了！

 

A：What can we do for them?

我們能為他們做什麼呢？

 

B：We can donate money to Australian Red Cross.

Ask about his/her opinion 詢問對方意見

 

如果剛入職，對環境還不熟悉，這時可以請他人向你推薦某些食物或地點。

B：I know a place, whose braised pork over rice is the best in this area.

A：Thanks a lot. I'll try it later.

B：If you don’t mind , I can go with you. I can also show you around the area.
